MAGZI in brief

LEGAL STATUS

MAGZI is a State-owned industrial and commercial company, acting as a project manager on behalf of the State. It is placed under the technical supervision of the Ministry of Mines, Industry and Technological Development.

 

OUR OBJECTIVES

Our objectives can be summarised as follows:

  • contribute to the development of the industrial fabric of Cameroon;
  • ease the establishment of economic operators, especially industrialists;
  • participate in the reduction of unemployment, the management of urban and peri-urban space and the environment in Cameroon;
  • Work towards achieving the Sustainable Development Goals (SDGs) by protecting the environment.

MISSION

MAGZI is mainly responsible for the development and management of industrial zones throughout the Republic of Cameroon. It also supports the State in the implementation of its industrial promotion policy.

 

CREATION AND REGULATORY INSTRUMENTS

MAGZI (The Industrial Zones Development and Management Authority), a body responsible for creation and promotion of industrial zones. It helps in the implementation of the development and industrialisation policy of the Republic of Cameroon.

MAGZI was created by Decree No. 71/DF/95 of 1 March 1971
