International labour day Celebration in MAGZI
Staff of the INDUSTRIAL ZONES DEVELOPPEMENT AND MANAGEMENT AUTHORITY LTD better know by its french acronym MAGZI gathered ON May 1 2025 at their headquarters in Mvan yaounde to commemorate the 139th international labour day .The deputy Director General of MAGZI MABIOM AKOBORD CHRISTOPHE representing the Director General ,seized the opportunity to express his appreciation for the dedication and hard work of collaborators .He underscored the body’s commitment to the continuous training and capacity building of its staff ,emphasizing its crittical role in navigating an ever-changing Professional landscape .
A key highlight of the Deputy Director General’s adress was the reaffirmation of MAGZI’S dedication to fostering social diaiogue between the top Management and its emplyees .This aligns with this years labour Day theme.He also encouraged the workforce to actively develop thier bilinguilism skills ,a valuable asset in Cameroon’s diverse environennement .He also moved from table to table ,shook hands with his collaborators and encouraging them to continue the good work .Earlier in the proceedings ,the staff Representative, KEHBUMA Serge ,acknowledged the positive strides made by the management in improving the working conditions of the employees .While recognizing these efforts he also emphasizing the potential for further advencementst to MAGZI effectively fulfil its crucial goal of developping Industrial zones for production and processing.The staff Representative also underlined that dialogue between top Management and staff is fluid .
The International Labour Day celebration in MAGZI was equally a moment to hail our retired staff for the huge nation building task carried out through their stay in MAGZI. It was a day to show appreciation by bidding them farewell with their new lives. The Management on that day presented gifts of their choices to the two retirees. This year we had a cumulated 47 years of service rendered to MAGZI for two retired personnel (19 and 38) years of service respectively.
The ceremony concluded with merry-making.
